Paula Opalewski is an Associate Attorney at Matta Blair, PLC, who practices civil litigation and transactions, with a focus on contract, business, and real property litigation, including zoning, condemnation, land use regulation and development matters.

Ms. Opalewski is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, fully licensed to practice law in the state. She earned her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law, where she attended with scholarships, appeared on the Dean’s List, and was a member of Phi Alpha Delta. She focused her law school studies on land use development and regulation, including state and federal eminent domain law, and the impact of environmental regulations on the rights of business owners.

Ms. Opalewski considers herself fortunate to be a resident of the Great Lakes State, because her passion for law is matched only by her love of fishing. After leaving the office on warm summer evenings, she can often be found quietly casting into the water from the bank of a local lake or stream. She also enjoys playing chess when she can find a willing opponent.
