Steven A. Matta, Esq. is the founding member and manager of Matta Blair, PLC, focusing on real estate transactions and commercial litigation. He has represented a wide range of public and private clients and has secured some of Michigan’s highest jury verdicts in complex commercial disputes. Steve has tried more than 130 cases and closed hundreds of millions of dollars in real estate and business transactions. Before founding the firm, he was a senior shareholder at Garan Lucow Miller, PC. He has practiced in Michigan’s state and appellate courts, federal courts, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and holds an AV rating from Martindale‑Hubbell. Steve is a graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Detroit School of Law, where he also participated in Pepperdine’s London Law Program. He has published in the Michigan Tax Law Journal and remains active in professional organizations.
